The parliamentary and local elections in Vienna in 1945 was carried out on 25 November 1945, the same day as the first general election of the Second Republic, and was the first state election in the state of Vienna after the Second World War . The Socialist Party of Austria (SPÖ) achieved an absolute majority with 57.2% and 58 out of 100 seats. Second place went to the newly founded Austrian People's Party (ÖVP), which achieved 34.9% and 36 seats. In addition, the Communist Party of Austria (KPÖ) was able to move into the state parliament with 7.9% and 6 seats.

The Viennese state parliament and municipal council for the 5th electoral term were constituted on December 13, 1945 and February 14, 1946 respectively, and on December 13, 1945, the state government and city senate Körner I were elected as the new Vienna state government.
