Asmus Lorenzen
Asmus Peter Lorenzen (born September 1, 1828 in Havetoft ; † November 4, 1912 in Büdelsdorf ) was a farmer and member of the German Reichstag .
Life
Lorenzen attended high school in Schleswig from 1837 to 1844 and worked as a miller from 1845 to 1865 and then as a farmer. From 1870 he was the accounting school director in the municipality and from 1875 to 1887 a member of the district council. Between 1878 and 1888 he was a deputy member of the Provincial Landtag, from 1879 to 1892 an arbitrator and from 1870 to 1880 a member of the Honer Savings Bank Administration. From 1880 he was also chairman of the agricultural association on the Obereider. He participated in the Schleswig-Holstein War in 1848 and 1851 as a volunteer .
From 1884 to 1898 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of the Province of Schleswig-Holstein 3 Schleswig , Eckernförde , where he initially represented the German Liberal Party and, from 1893, the Liberal Association .
