Luis Bassetti
Luis Bassetti (born January 13, 1915 in Innsbruck ; † February 27, 2007 ibid) was an Austrian lawyer, business graduate and politician of the ÖVP .
Life
Luis Bassetti attended elementary school and secondary school in Innsbruck. He graduated from high school in 1934 and then studied law at the University of Innsbruck . He received his doctorate in 1938. He completed another degree (economics) at the University of Frankfurt .
Bassetti began his professional career in 1947 as a freelance merchant in the timber trade. He was involved in the Tyrol Chamber of Commerce , of which he was the regional committee chairman from 1954 to 1960. From 1962 to 1970 he was a member of the National Council and from 1970 to 1986 Tyrolean Provincial Council (economics and finance departments). Furthermore, from 1971 to 1988 he was regional chairman of the Tyrolean Economic Association .
Since 1936 he was a member of the Catholic student association KaV Rheno-Danubia Innsbruck.
