Verena Wiesmann

Verena Wiesmann , nee Verena Grundmann , (born October 11, 1941 in Hanover ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

Grundmann first attended schools in Hanover and then trained as an interpreter and foreign language correspondent. She worked as a foreign language secretary at a special machine factory and worked as an interpreter for various foreign companies. She interrupted this job during the years of upbringing for her children.

Grundmann has been a member of the CDU since 1971 and became the district chairwoman of the CDU women's association. She worked in the repatriate care and in the Social Commission of the European Women's Union. Between 1972 and 1974 she was councilor of the district town of Syke / Grafschaft Hoya and from 1978 she held the same office in the council of the city of Braunschweig.

She was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament from June 21, 1982 to June 20, 1986 as a member of the tenth electoral term .
