Hacked
The Verhackert (also Verhackerts, Verhackertes, Verhackara; in Carinthia regionally also Sasaka from Slovenian Zaseka ) is a spread made from smoked, finely chopped bacon, which is particularly common in Austria and Slovenia . It is u. a. an important part of the so-called Brettljause . Sometimes it is also offered in the form of sausages with a plastic skin, less often in cans or glasses in grocery stores, butchers and farmers' markets .
The ingredients of the spread consist of bacon , pork , table salt and spices such as garlic and pepper .
Similar dishes are rillettes and pottsuse .
