New City Publishing House
The Neue Stadt publishing house is a publishing house of the Focolare Movement . In Germany , the Neue Stadt publishing house has been a GmbH since 1975. Shareholder is the Focolare Movement e. V. in Friedberg-Ottmaring near Augsburg. The publishing house is based in Munich , with further operations in Friedberg-Ottmaring and Oberpframmern (on the south-eastern outskirts of Munich). In Switzerland the publisher is represented by Verlag Neue Stadt Zürich and in Austria by Verlag Neue Stadt Wien.
The Neue Stadt publishing house was founded in 1961 as the publishing expression of the Focolare Movement; the first edition of the Neue Stadt magazine had already appeared in 1958.

Under the motto “Christian. Open. Dialogic. ”The publisher distributes a book, map, calendar and media program: The book program includes around 450 titles with around 25 new publications annually in the main areas of spirituality , biographies , theology, gift books and help in life. In its card program, the publisher offers folding cards with around 250 different card motifs and inserted text sheets, as well as postcards and card boxes. The small media and music program mainly offers productions by the bands Gen Rosso and Gen Verde.
In addition to the monthly magazine Neue Stadt (circulation 7,000), the publisher Neue Stadt also publishes the half-yearly magazine das prisma - articles on pastoral care, catechesis and theology .
