history

The publishing house Peter Hopf, also known under the abbreviation vph until 2009, was founded in 1994. Several comic-related publications appeared by 1997, such as B. a novel adaptation of the comic series Jarro by Dieter Böhm, as well as the comic series Talon by Thomas Knip and Die Kreuzritter by Klaus Grobys, both in piccolo comic format .

With its relaunch in 2002, the publishing house focused on the publication of e-books . The program consisted to a large extent of reprints mainly of magazine novels and loan books - both single issues and complete series - from the fields of science fiction , fantasy , horror , crime novels , westerns and romance novels . At the end of 2008, the program comprised around 600 titles. Among them were authors such as Dan Shocker , Earl Warren , HG Francis and Alfred Wallon , with series such asLarry Brent , Commissioner X or Macabros .

In January 2009 the publisher handed over the e-book range "vph eBooks" to the previous editor-in-chief Thomas Knip. He continued it from 2009 to 2015 under the new title "story2go".

In 2009 the publisher (now officially called VERLAG PETER HOPF) began to realign the layout and program. Since 2011, the focus of the new publishing program has been on novel adaptations of the Piccolo comics from the Sigurd , Tibor , Nick and Falk series by Hansrudi Wäscher .
