Veronique Branquinho

Veronique Branquinho (* 1973 in Belgium ) is a Belgian fashion designer .

Life

Branquinho studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp from 1991 to 1995 and completed her studies with a master's in fashion design. From 1995 to 2000 she was in a relationship with the Belgian fashion designer Raf Simons . In 1997 she presented her first women's collection in Paris. The following season she showed her first show. In 1999 she designed the women's collections for the Italian leather brand Ruffo Research, in 2003 she designed her men's collection and opened her own shop in the center of Antwerp. After her exhibition at the Antwerp Fashion Museum on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the designer label Veronique Branquinho, she curated a fashion journal in 2008. From 2005 to 2009 she was appointed professor at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna as head of the so-called fashion class. From 2009 to 2011 she was artistic director of the Belgian luxury leather goods brand Delvaux. In 2012 she celebrated her comeback with a new ready-to-wear collection from the Italian clothing company Gibò Co., which also produces collections by Michael Kors , John Galliano and Jil Sander .
