In the administrative community of Emskirchen in the Middle Franconian district of Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim , the following municipalities had come together to handle their administrative business:

  1. Emskirchen , market , 6,128 inhabitants, 67.27 km²
  2. Hagenbüchach , 1,231 inhabitants, 11.50 km²
  3. Wilhelmsdorf , population 1,293, 7.69 km²

The seat of the administrative community was Emskirchen. It was one of the first administrative communities in Bavaria after the regional reform in 1972.

The last chairman of the VG was Dieter Schmidt, Mayor of Emskirchen.

On December 31, 2006, the administrative community was dissolved by the Bavarian State Parliament after the Emskirchen market had applied to leave. Since then, Emskirchen has formed a unified community with its own administration. Hagenbüchach and Wilhelmsdorf form a new administrative community Hagenbüchach-Wilhelmsdorf based in Wilhelmsdorf.
