The municipalities of Dannigkow , Karith and Vehlitz as well as the city of Gommern , which was the administrative center , were united in the administrative community of Gommern in the Saxony-Anhalt district of Jerichower Land . On January 1, 2005, it was dissolved when the member communities were incorporated into the city of Gommern.
