Administrative community of Upper Pleißental

The administrative community of Upper Pleißental was in the Thuringian district of Altenburger Land . It was named after the Pleisse . The town of Gößnitz , which was its seat, and two communities had come together in it to carry out their administrative business.

The administrative community was founded on June 30, 1994. The dissolution took place on April 20, 1995. With effect from April 21, 1995 Gößnitz became a fulfilling municipality for the other two member communities, whereby the administrative community was dissolved. On December 31, 1994 the population was 6,817.
