In the administrative community Altenburger Land from the Thuringia Altenburger Land , eight municipalities had joined forces to do their administrative business. Their seat was in Mehna .

history

The administrative community was founded on January 1st, 1992. The original member communities Naundorf and Tegkwitz merged with Starkenberg on December 1, 2008 to form the new community Starkenberg. Großröda joined the Starkenberg community on January 1, 2012.

On January 1, 2019, the administrative community was dissolved as part of the Thuringia regional reform in 2018 and 2019 . The member communities Altkirchen , Jungs and Lumpzig were incorporated into the town of Schmölln ; this became a fulfilling community for Dobitschen . The administrative community Rositz was expanded to include the member communities Göhren , Göllnitz , Mehna and Starkenberg .
