Saara administrative community

The Saara administrative community was located in the Thuringian district of Altenburger Land , south of the district town of Altenburg , bordering the cities of Schmölln and Gößnitz .

history

The administrative community was founded on March 8, 1994 in Saara , a district of Lehndorf. The reason for this was the central location of Saara. The dissolution took place on December 31, 1995. With effect from January 1, 1996, the municipality of Saara was formed from five of the six member municipalities , and the municipality of Großstöbnitz was incorporated into Schmölln . On December 31, 1995, the administrative community had 4088 inhabitants, a year earlier there were 4133.
