Administrative community Unterharz
The administrative community Unterharz was an administrative community in the district of Harz with an area of 164.57 km² and 9442 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2006) to which the following eight communities belonged:
- Dankerode
- City of Güntersberge
- Harzgerode city
- Koenigerode
- Neudorf
- Squint
- Siptenfelde
- Strassberg

history
The administrative community was dissolved on August 1, 2009 by the resolutions of the municipalities, with the exception of Neudorf, and has merged into the newly founded town of Harzgerode. The community of Neudorf is co-administered by Harzgerode until further notice.
