The Vestre Orvinbreen ( Norwegian for Western Orvingletscher ) is an ice stream in Queen Maud Land in East Antarctica . It flows from the Orvinfjella through the Hellehallet on the west side of the Sigurdsvodene .
Scientists from the Norwegian Polar Institute named it in 2016 based on the name of the Orvinfjella. It is named after the geologist Anders Kristian Orvin (1889–1980), head of the institute from 1957 to 1960.
