ViDia Christliche Kliniken Karlsruhe is the name of a hospital network in Karlsruhe . This was formed from the merger of two previously independent hospitals and consists of 26 clinics and institutes. They are teaching hospitals of the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg .

history

In 2016, the two previously independent denominational hospitals, Diakonissenkrankenhaus Karlsruhe-Rüppurr (Protestant) and St. Vincentius-Kliniken (Roman Catholic), including the St. Marien Clinic, merged to form today's association.

The Vincentius-Diakonissen-Kliniken non-profit AG as the sponsor of the ViDia Christian Clinics Karlsruhe is owned by the St. Vincentius-Verein Karlsruhe eV (71.17%) and the Diakonissenanstalt Karlsruhe-Rüppurr corporation under public law (28.83%).

Locations

The association operates facilities at three locations in Karlsruhe's Südweststadt and in the Karlsruhe district of Rüppurr:

  • Südendstrasse ("old Vinzenz")
  • Steinhäuserstraße ("new Vinzenz")
  • Edgar-von-Gierke-Strasse (Marien Hospital)
  • Diakonissenstrasse (Deaconess Hospital)

A new clinic has been under construction at the Steinhäuserstraße location since 2016. a. to take up the departments previously located in "old Vincent". In addition, a new air rescue station is to be built on the roof of the new building for the Christoph 43 rescue helicopter stationed in Karlsruhe .

Services

The ViDia clinics are specialized care clinics that cover the entire spectrum of acute care for the Middle Upper Rhine / Northern Black Forest region. Every year around 50,000 inpatients and around 150,000 outpatients are cared for. In addition, there are around 3200 births. There is a health and nursing school with 296 training places.
