The Viaduc du Pays de Tulle is a road bridge in the French department of Corrèze . On it, the A89 autoroute crosses the Corrèze valley near the villages of Naves , Les Angles-sur-Corrèze et Gimel-les-Cascades between the Tulle-Nord and Tulle-Ost exits.

description

The bridge is a haunched girder bridge made of prestressed concrete . It was built between 2000 and 2002 by the Grands Travaux de Marseille company . The client was the Autoroutes du Sud de la France , the concept was created by Jean Muller International , the structural engineer was Michel Duviard, the architects were Charles Lavigne and Alain Montois. 17,500 m³ of concrete and a total of 3,500 tons of steel were used. The five pillars support the 854 m long bridge at a maximum height over the Corrèze of 150 m. This makes it one of the tallest bridges in France.
