Victor Constantin Delaigue

Victor Constantin Delaigue (* 1878 in Gaujac (Gard) , France , † 1968 ) was a French sculptor .

Life

From 1909 Delaigue was a member of the Société des Artistes Français . He exhibited his work from 1907 to the 1920s at their Salons des Artistes Français .

In addition to his monuments, he made statuettes in the Art Deco style from bronze, ivory, marble, stone and terracotta. His best-known work of this kind is Dante Alighieri aux Enfers ( German  Dante in the underworld ).
