Video33 is an Italian-speaking private television broadcaster in South Tyrol ( Italy ) based in Bolzano .
history
Video33, then still Videobolzano Canale 33 , was founded in 1986 by Rolando Boesso . At first the station could only be received in Bolzano, a few years later the transmission area was extended to Merano and Brixen . The first programs produced were local news programs broadcast twice a day. In 2008 a group of South Tyrolean investors acquired the station. Like its German-speaking counterpart, Südtirol Digital Fernsehen , which was founded in 2009, it belonged to Rosengarten Media GmbH . In 2017 the two channels were sold to a group of entrepreneurs from Trentino .
