description

The multi-flowered heather is an upright shrub that reaches heights of up to 80, rarely up to 250 centimeters. The leaves are 6 to 11 millimeters long. They are arranged in whorls of 4 or 5 each. Its underside is covered by the rolled-up edge of the sheet. The inflorescences are dense and mostly terminal. The crown is cylindrical to narrowly bell-shaped and 4 to 5 millimeters long. The anthers protrude from the flower. You have no appendage. Their halves are parallel and touching. The flowering time is in autumn, so it begins as soon as the winter rainfall becomes significant.

Occurrence

The species occurs in the Mediterranean area. To the east it can be found as far as the territory of the former Yugoslavia .
