Main house
Eaves , three-storey and three-axle residential building under a gable roof with a two-storey extension under a pent roof . Plastered and stuccoed street facade , rear facade and extension in simple but high-quality contemporary brick architecture . The building is integrated into a historical street, the neighboring building Viersener Straße 88 / Beethovenstraße is also a registered monument as a striking corner building opposite the water tower.
Cultivation
Two-storey extension under a monopitch roof in simple but high-quality brick architecture. The upright rectangular window openings have a flat stitch . With a few exceptions, the window frames have been replaced with modern plastic windows . The outer walls lead over a console frieze into the eaves and the roof zone. At the front of the extension there is another extension with access via four steps from the garden to the ground floor. Upstairs there is a closed today, but originally open towards the garden patio .
In the facade mostly originally preserved town house with some interior fittings.
The Viersener Straße property is in the urban expansion area around the new water tower and opposite the Protestant cemetery at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Century originated. It documents the urban expansion on the arterial road to Viersen as a result of industrialization and the associated population growth . Despite the changes (plastic windows, panels in the skylights, front door), the property documents bourgeois-oriented building and living at the beginning of the 20th century through building furnishings typical of the time, the details of which - even if worn or reduced - have been preserved in the original. As a sensible addition to the existing and listed corner development as well as a document of the city expansion, the building should be placed under protection.
The object is important for human history and for cities and settlements. There is a public interest in its preservation and use for scientific reasons, in particular for architectural-historical and urban planning reasons.
