Thể Công (Đội bóng đá Thể Công) was a football club from Hà Nội , Vietnam and is the country's record champions. The club plays in the highest Vietnamese league, the V.League 1 . The club played its home games in the Hàng Đẫy Stadium.

Club history

The club was founded in 1954 as the army sports club Câu lạc bộ Quân đội . In 1990 the association was renamed Thể Công. Parts of the club management also worked for Viettel, a telecommunications company from Vietnam. It was therefore decided in 2004 to sponsor the club and rename it Viettel Thể Công. In 2007, however, they returned to the old club name, Thể Công. With five championship titles won, the club is the record champion in the country.
