The Viezstraße is a scenic route , also called threads road that of the common, tourist attractions subject Viez has been assigned and is characterized by a uniform official signs.

The Viezstraße runs from Trier / Mosel via Konz and the Saargau to Saarlouis - Wallerfangen and on to Merzig / Saar . It is looked after by the Saarburg-Kell Association , the Merzig-Wadern Tourist Association and the Saarlouis district and is an example of integrated regional development through the use of the agricultural landscape for tourism. With the development of Viezstrasse into a tourist route, fruit growers , fine fruit distillers, farmers , hoteliers, restaurateurs and other players in the Saargau will be able to tap additional sources of income and sales markets.
