The Viking XPRS is a ferry of the Viking Line .
history
On November 29, 2005, the Viking Line ordered the ship from Aker Finnyards OY, later Aker Yards OY. An option for a new building that was agreed at the same time was not taken. The ship was laid down in Helsinki on April 16, 2007 and christened on September 14, 2007. It left the construction dock on September 20, 2007. The delivery took place on April 21, 2008, after which it started sailing under the Swedish flag with home port Norrtälje . The ship was Viking Line's first newbuild in 19 years.
Since April 28, 2008 the Viking XPRS has been in service between Helsinki and Tallinn.
The ship has been sailing under the Estonian flag with home port Tallinn since January 22, 2014 .

The ship offers space for 2,500 passengers in 236 cabins and can transport 60 trucks. It has ice class 1 A Super.
