Viktor Hermann Günther

Viktor Hermann Günther (mostly: Hermann Günther , born February 16, 1879 in Löbau , † December 22, 1965 in Oslo ) was a German Protestant clergyman.

Life

Hermann Günther attended the Princely School in Meißen and studied Protestant theology at the Universities of Lausanne , Leipzig and Marburg . In 1921 he was promoted to Dr. phil. PhD.

From 1909 he was pastor abroad at the German Evangelical Congregation in Oslo (then Kristiania). Later he became the leading spiritual council of the German Evangelical Church for all of Norway. From 1914 to 1945 he was lecturer for German literature and culture at the University of Oslo .
