Viktor Niemann (born August 22, 1940 ) is a German publisher . He was head of Ullstein Verlag , Carlsen Verlag and Piper Verlag , which Bonnier took over while he was there. Later he was a member of the boards for Bonnier publishers in Germany. In 1998 he was named publisher of the year by the trade journal Buchmarkt .
