Villa Blumenstrasse 5 (Radebeul)
The small villa with enclosure at Blumenstrasse 5 in the Niederlößnitz district of Radebeul in Saxony was the residence of the painter Karl Sinkwitz for a long time .
description
The single-storey, country house-like villa was built in 1879/1880 by the architect and builder Friedrich Rößler, who also built the Herbig house and the extension to the Steineck house at Moritzburger Straße 19. It has a gable roof and the eaves side faces the street. In the middle of the street view is a two-storey central projection . The plastered building was created in the Italian Neo-Renaissance style with a reduced structure.
Sinkwitz (1886–1933), who lived in this house for a long time, had the now listed building rebuilt for himself in 1925 . The original plaster structure was simplified, but the ornamentation was retained on the ground floor of the central projectile .
