The Villa Goethestrasse 6 (today Gret-Palucca-Strasse ) in Dresden was built by Karl Eberhard in the English Quarter in Seevorstadt from 1869 to 1870 . The villa , which was destroyed in 1945 as a result of the air raids on Dresden , was characterized by a "elegant, simple facade based on the pattern of Italian early Renaissance palaces " and was built on the model of the Stadtpalais Oppenheim  located on Bürgerwiese 5-7 , whereby the simplicity of the Facade was used as a "means of distance".

description

The facade of the villa facing Goethestrasse measured five window axes . On the left, four-axis side facade, three window axes were combined in the form of a backrest , with a column portal in the middle . The right side facade had a front length of three window axes and was laid out symmetrically. Bay windows attached to the facade carried arbors . A spacious staircase led down to the garden.

The two-story building rose above a basement that had been worked with square sandstone. The rest of the building was plastered over it . A sill cornice was on the first floor, while a rich, highly plastic festoon decoration was to be found on the entablature. The rectangular windows on the ground floor showed sills that rested on consoles. A flat gable roof with an empty tympana was located above the window. The rectangular windows on the first floor showed flat arches with richly decorated tympana as roofing. So there were circular medallions with scrollwork cartouches, flanked by foliage.
