Villa Lindemann

The Villa Lindemann is located in the Oberlößnitz district of the Saxon city of Radebeul , at Wettinstrasse 16. It was built in 1900/01 by the architect Carl Käfer for the building owner Gustav Lindemann who gave it its name.

The together with parts of the enclosure under monument protection standing rental villa is a two-story stucco building with an overhanging slate hip roof with a central platform.

In the street view there is a side elevation on the right , from which a two-storey polygonal stand bay emerges with a balustrade-protected exit from the risalit gable. This exit is covered by a far-drawn hip roof. In the left side view and on the back there are two-story extensions.

The plaster structure was subsequently simplified. The windows are framed by sandstone walls; in the show facade these profiled sills and lintels with different training such. B. Curtain motifs. There are also horizontal roofs on the ground floor, which are supplemented in the stand bay by triangular fields with decorative figures.

The building contractor Hermann Schmidt built this rental villa in 1900/01 based on a design by the architect Carl Käfer for his client Gustav Lindemann, which was annexed to the rear in 1912.

The two-story wooden veranda in the left side view was replaced in 1930/32 by a massive porch, which was clad in slate on the upper floor. The planning for this by the local architect Alfred Tischer was carried out by Ernst Mehlig's construction company.
