Villa Max in Ammerland

The Villa Max in Ammerland , a district of the Upper Bavarian municipality of Münsing in the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district , was built in 1871. The villa at Südliche Seestrasse 29 is a protected architectural monument .

description

The two-storey, partially paneled flat gable roof building in historicizing forms with a risalit gable has baluster balconies and plastered structure. The building for Gabriel von Max was extended around 1876/77 and turned into an artist house.

Planned demolition

In the 1990s, a real estate agent from Munich bought the villa and left it empty. In 2013, the owner's demolition plans were countered by a legal order for repairs. In 2014 nothing of the sort had happened yet. On the initiative of Matthias Richter-Turtur , protests were made against these conditions as part of the “Day of the Rotten Monument”. At that time, all of the wooden railings were broken down and the roof and gutter were leaking. In 2016, too, the building was left to decay.
