history

The factory owner's villa was built in 1891 by and for the building contractor Moritz Hermann Schmidt. As early as 1899, the two-storey extension was added to the rear in order to be able to manufacture pea sausages and ready-made soups there.

In 1925, the factory owner Fritz Keyl moved into this property to run his F. Keyl shoe factory , which had been relocated there from Dresden-Gruna . In 1933 he moved the factory into the newly built factory building at Gartenstrasse 70-72.
