Villa Nordstrasse 4 (Radebeul)

The Villa Nordstraße 4 is located in the Niederlößnitz district of the Saxon city of Radebeul . It was built in 1884–86.

description

The country house-like villa , which is now a listed building, has a single storey with a high knee-length floor , on top of which it has a tiled gable roof . The eaves street view shows a two-storey central projectile . In the left side view there is an entrance porch. A two-storey side wing with lower storey heights and a flat roof is attached to the rear .

The building, standing on a base made of quarry stone, shows plaster structures made of cornices and corner pilasters as well as sandstone walls around the windows.

history

In 1884, the builder Clemens Hanke applied for the construction of a house with a side wing and a fountain . The use permit was issued in 1886.

From 1897 at the latest, according to the address book, the building was owned by Theodor Lobe (1833–1905), actor and director at the Dresden Court Theater , his last professional position. In 1901 he had the rear dormer built into a full storey by the builder Hugo Große . Lobe died in 1905 and was buried in the Kötzschenbroda cemetery .

In 1919 the entrance porch was extended.
