The villa rustica in the district of Holzhausen , a district of the municipality of Bergen in the Upper Bavarian district of Traunstein , is located about one kilometer southwest of the church of Einharting . The remains of the former villa rustica are a protected archaeological monument .

Several parts of the villa's building were discovered as early as 1855. Excavations were carried out in 1977 and 1980, whereby the main building with corner risers and mosaic floors could be examined.

The underfloor heating ( hypocaust ) of the eastern corner tower can be seen at the covered excavation site of the manor from the Roman Empire .
