Holzhausen is a district of the municipality of Bergen (Chiemgau) in the Upper Bavarian district of Traunstein .
history
The remains of a Roman villa rustica were found near Holzhausen in 1855 , which proves the long history of settlement in the area. The rural community of Holzhausen, founded in 1818 with the municipal edict , was dissolved on January 1, 1972 as part of the regional reform . Ten districts of the dissolved community of Holzhausen were incorporated into Bergen.
