history
Villanova was called Le Sprete until the 1970s , a place name that was mentioned as early as the 17th century. The origin of the name is not certain
The current place name was chosen to distinguish it from the neighboring Villalba, which also belongs to the municipality of Giudonia Montecelio. Villanova (Guidonia Montecelio) is not far from the ancient Villa Adriana , which belongs to the municipality of Tivoli .
Infrastructure
