Villanueva de la Torre is a Spanish town in the province of Palencia in the autonomous community of Castile and León . The once independent place belongs to Barruelo de Santullán , it is located nine kilometers southwest of the main town of the municipality. Villanueva de la Torre can be reached via road PP-2123.

From 1175 the place was owned by the Santa María la Real Monastery in Aguilar de Campoo .
