Villiger (bicycle manufacturer)
Villiger was a Swiss bicycle brand based in Dübendorf .
The Villiger bicycle company was founded in 1980. The Villiger Group , which was already in existence at the time, took over the Kalt company in Buttisholz that year .
Villiger manufactured touring and racing bikes and was also represented in cycling . By 2002 Villiger had also participated in the German Diamant Fahrradwerke . At times the Villiger wheels were also produced in Hartmannsdorf .
In 2003 the Villiger Group sold its bicycle division to the US Trek Bicycle Corporation . In July 2014, it announced that it would no longer manage the Villiger brand from 2015.
