Vin & Sprit (V&S Vin & Sprit AB, parent company of the V&S Group, represented in Germany by V&S Deutschland GmbH) is a Swedish spirits manufacturer in the Pernod Ricard Group based in Stockholm . Absolut Vodka is the most important and probably best-known brand of the V&S Group.

The company was founded in 1917 and until July 23, 2008 was 100% owned by the Swedish state. The company is one of the largest producers of spirits in Europe and one of the ten largest companies in the alcohol industry worldwide . V&S has offices in Sweden, seven other European countries as well as the USA and Hong Kong. The company has around 2500 employees (2006). The products are sold in 125 countries. In 2006 the company had a turnover of 10.3 billion SEK and profit after tax was 1.6 billion SEK. General manager is Bengt Baron .

In December 2006 the Swedish government announced that it would also sell shares in Vin & Sprit as part of the privatization of state-owned companies. The Swedish government wants to raise between 3.8 and 4.9 billion euros. No information was given about the type and scope of the sale. In March 2007, Bacardi announced its interest in taking over the Swedish spirits manufacturer. According to stock exchange experts, this should have a value of 4.3 billion euros. On April 1, 2008, it became known that the Swedish state and the French spirits group Pernod Ricard agreed to sell its shares in V&S for a price of 5.6 billion euros.
