The Vincennes Subglazialbecken (English: Vincennes Subglacial Basin ) is a large, by glacial ice completely material covered pool with east-northeast-southwest orientation West north of the Dome Charlie , that on the Aurora Subglazialbecken with the adventure Subglazialgraben communicates.
Its extent was determined by sonar tracking as part of a joint program of the Scott Polar Research Institute , the National Science Foundation and Denmark's Technical University between 1967 and 1979. It is named after the sloop USS Vincennes , flagship of the United States Exploring Expedition (1838–1842).
