The adventure Subglazialgraben (English: Adventure Subglacial trench ) is a by glacial completely covered sink with a north-south orientation of the middle of the East Antarctic Wilke country . There is a connection to the Aurora subglacial basin to the west via the Vincennes subglacial basin .
Its extent was determined by sonar tracking as part of a joint program of the Scott Polar Research Institute , the National Science Foundation and Denmark's Technical University between 1967 and 1979. It is named after the HMS Adventure , one of the ships of the British navigator and explorer James Cook on his second South Sea voyage (1772-1775).
