Vincent Mwale

Vincent Mwale (born December 5, 1978 ) is a Zambian politician of the Movement for Multi-Party Democracy (MMD) and currently the Patriotic Front (PF).

Life

Mwale, who worked as an entrepreneur, was elected to the National Assembly of Zambia for the first time in 2006 as a candidate of the Movement for Multi-Party Democracy (MMD) and has since represented the Chipangali constituency . In February 2015 he switched to the Patriotic Front (PF) and was re-elected for this in the elections on August 11, 2016 in his constituency.

Shortly after his election in February 2015, President Edgar Lungu appointed him Minister for Youth and Sport in his cabinet . In a cabinet reshuffle following the August 11, 2016 elections, he took over from Stephen Kampyongo as Minister for Local Government and Housing in September 2016 , while Moses Mawere became the new Minister for Youth, Sports and Child Development. In October 2016 he also became a member of the National Assembly's Reform and Modernization Committee.
