Stephen Kampyongo

Stephen Kampyongo (born June 12, 1972 ) is a Zambian politician of the Patriotic Front (PF).

Life

Kampyongo worked as a manager in the information industry after training in business administration and management . He was elected for the first time as a member of the National Assembly of Zambia as a candidate of the Patriotic Front (PF) in the 2011 elections and was re-elected in the election on August 11, 2016 and represents the constituency of Shiwa Ng'andu .

After February to October 2015 Deputy Minister at the Office of the Vice President Inonge Wina was, he was in October 2015 President Edgar Lungu , succeeding John Phiri as Minister of Local Government and Housing in the Cabinet appointed. At the same time, he was a member of the Reform and Modernization Committee of the National Assembly between October 2015 and May 2016. In the course of a government reshuffle, he took over the office of Interior Minister in the Lungu cabinet on September 14, 2016 as the successor to Davies Mwila . Vincent Mwale was then his own successor as Minister of Local Government and Housing .
