Vincenzo Ansidei
Vincenzo Ansidei di Montemarte (born April 22, 1862 in Perugia , † April 30, 1940 ibid) was an Italian librarian and local historian .
Life
Conte (Count) Vincenzo Ansidei di Montemarte came from a noble family in Perugia. He studied law at the University of Perugia and at the Istituto di scienze sociali in Florence. In 1887 he became vice librarian of the Biblioteca comunale of Perugia, the Biblioteca Augusta, under Alessandro Bellucci , from 1891 until his retirement in 1922 he was his successor director of the library. He was also responsible for the city archive. In 1894 he was one of the co-founders of the Deputazione (originally Società ) di storia patria per l'Umbria, which he headed from 1915 to 1920. He published on the history of Perugia and Umbria .
