Vincenzo Gamna
Vincenzo Gamna (born April 10, 1925 in Casalgrasso , † January 31, 2016 in Carignano , Piedmont ) was an Italian assistant editor, documentary filmmaker and film director .
Life
Gamna has worked as an assistant editor for film since 1952 and occasionally as an assistant director . In 1958 he shot the children's film Un flauto in paradiso based on his own template , which was only awarded in small numbers. In 1962 he was co-director of Enzo Battaglias and shot a film in the Vivere insieme series , La guarigione , for Italian television in 1971 .
Since the beginning of the 1960s, Gamna was also active as a documentary filmmaker; later for television, where works like Douce France or Sweet England were shown. Since 1977 he has been managing the Cantoregi theater group, which has successfully performed plays such as Nebbie (1995) and Voci erranti . Elogio della mitezza (2010) followed later .
Gamna's short film Giovedi: passeggiata was nominated for a Palme d'Or in Cannes in 1961 .
