Vincenzo Cardinal Lapuma , also Vincenzo La Puma , (born January 22, 1874 in Palermo , † November 4, 1943 in Rome ) was an Italian cardinal curia of the Roman Catholic Church .

Life

Vincenzo Lapuma studied Catholic theology and philosophy in Palermo and Rome . He received on 13 September 1896, the sacrament of holy orders and was then a lecturer in Rome. He also worked for the Congregation of Bishops . In 1907 he was awarded the title of papal secret chamberlain .

In 1916 Pope Benedict XV appointed him . as Undersecretary of the Congregation for Religious , in 1917 he awarded him the title of Pontifical House Prelate . Pope Pius XI appointed Vincenzo Lapuma in 1925 as secretary of the Congregation for Religious and in 1935 accepted him as a cardinal deacon with the titled deaconry Santi Cosma e Damiano in the cardinals college. In the same year he appointed him prefect of the religious congregation . Vincenzo Lapuma took part in the 1939 conclave .

He died on November 4, 1943 in Rome, where he was buried in the Campo Verano cemetery.
