Vino joven

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Vino joven ( Spanish for " young wine ") or Cosechero (Spanish for "from the [last] harvest") describes a Spanish wine that has not undergone maturation in oak barrels and is intended for immediate consumption. A vino joven should not be kept for longer than a year and is therefore also called vino de año ("annual wine").

In contrast to the vino joven are the matured Crianza , Reserva and Gran Reserva wines.
