Vincenzo Demetz , also called Zenz de Tita d'Odl , (born October 10, 1911 in St. Christina in Val Gardena ; † November 23, 1990 there ) was an Italian cross-country skier from Val Gardena .

He was the grandfather of the Italian biathlete Michela Ponza .

Italian Championships

Demetz became Italian champion in Cortina d'Ampezzo in 1935 .

World championships

At the World Ski Championships in Chamonix in 1937, he won a bronze medal each in the 50 km run and in the 4 × 10 km relay with Giulio Gherardi, Aristide Compagnoni and Silvio Confortola. In the 18 km run, he came 8th.

At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti Finland in 1938 , he achieved 6th place in the Italian relay in the 4 × 10 km relay race and 34th place in the 18 km race.

Porridge at the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1939 in Zakopane , he placed 12th in the 18 and 50 km run.

winter Olympics

The IV Winter Olympics took place in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in 1936. Vincenzo Demetz ran there with the Italian relay (Giulio Gerardi, Severino Menardi, Vincenzo Demetz, Giovanni Kasebacher), where the team reached 4th place in the 4 × 10 km relay race. He himself reached 13th place in the 18 km run and 19th place in the 50 km run.
