The Grasmoor is a nature reserve that has existed since 2003 in the Lower Saxony municipality of Bramsche in the district of Osnabrück .
Description, location
The nature reserve with the registration number NSG WE 019 is 33 hectares in size. The 22.5 hectare western part of the nature reserve forms the FFH area of the same name .
The Grasmoor nature reserve is located west of the Achmer district of Bramsch at the foot of the Larberger Egge. It presents a mosaic of bogs , Anmooren and standing water with landing areas under protection, in waterlogged dunes have formed valleys. In the nature reserve there are swamp forests and dwarf shrub heaths as well as swinging lawns . Heathland , sandy grasslands and near-natural forests with a high proportion of deciduous trees are to develop on the surrounding dune areas .
The nature reserve borders mainly on farm and forest paths . In the north, east and south, agricultural areas adjoin the nature reserve. In the west, the nature reserve is touched by the Kidney Bruchgraben, which later flows into the Bühner Bach.
The area has been a nature reserve since December 20, 2003. It replaces the nature reserve Grasmoor (Heidetümpel) from 1937. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Osnabrück.
