The Maiburg is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxon communities of Bippen in the joint community of Fürstenau and Eggermühlen in the joint community of Bersenbrück in the district of Osnabrück .

The nature reserve with the sign NSG WE 243 is 181  hectares . A small part of the nature reserve is part of the FFH area "Brooks in Artland". The area, which completely from the conservation area "Teutoburg Nature Park Boreal forest - Wiehengebirge" is surrounded, is since 4 December 2004 on nature conservation. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Osnabrück.

The nature reserve is located south of Bippen on the Ankumer Höhe . It places part of a large forest area under protection, which would naturally be characterized by acidic beech forest. At the time it was placed under protection, conifers that were not in the area were growing in a large part of the area . In the long term, beech forest is to be developed again on the entire potential beech forest area. Streams arise in several places, some of which have washed deep valleys into the ground. On the damp source areas and stream sections are lowland forests to find.

The nature reserve is accessible via forest roads.
