The Dievenmoor is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony municipality of Bohmte in the district of Osnabrück .
The nature reserve with the sign NSG WE 218 is 220 hectares . It lies between Damme and Hunteburg and is a remnant of the Great Moor . The drained raised bog area has been partially cultivated as grassland . The areas that remained uncultivated are predominantly characterized by birch trees. Parts of the bog have been removed by hand peat digging. Industrial peat extraction takes place in the southwest of the nature reserve. The area is intended for the restoration after the end of peat extraction rewetted be.
The nature reserve borders in the north on the Bornbach and in the west on the receiving water of the Schweger Moorzentrale, which later flows into the Bornbach. The receiving water of the Schweger Moorzentrale flows through the nature reserve and separates the peat extraction areas from the rest of the nature reserve. The Bornbach flows into the Hunte in the south of the “ Westliche Dümmerniederung ” nature reserve .
The area has been a nature reserve since December 18, 1993. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Osnabrück.
